The nightclub is dead, long live the night

As traditional clubs struggle and festivals lose ground, urban nightlife is reinventing itself in fleeting spaces, hybrid forms, and intimate gatherings.

Last week, following our work on a new exciting space in Amsterdam, Poppo (more on that later) I had a chat with one of the founders of the nightclub Garage Noord. We were talking about the future of nightlife in big cities, especially Amsterdam, and the challenges facing hospitality, entertainment, and clubs. Our conversation prompted me to share some thoughts and trends on the future of the night.
